Short Legs Dog Care is the most wonderful double act and we're so lucky that we were able to work with both Chris and Trish for our wedding 💕

From the moment I first spoke to Chris, she was so friendly and made the booking process so smooth and simple. She responds so promptly and no question was ever too much trouble 😁 Then, on our wedding day we had Trish.

Trish, you made our dreams come true! Having Gerald there for our wedding was exactly what we wanted, seeing his cute little face totter down the aisle with our wedding rings just melted our hearts. I honestly cannot fault your service, you're utterly brilliant. I know Gerald loved you too, he's known for being very stubborn, but you clearly put him at ease and gave him a magical day ✨️ and to top it off, you're just such a lovely person too ❤️

Best dog chaperone!

Trish was absolutely amazing! Our little Cavapoo pup Chloe accompanied us to our Airbnb over our wedding weekend. Unfortunately, Chloe preferred to sit or follow me around due to feeling unsettled in a new space with so many people coming and going, but Trish kept a steady eye on her luring her away with delicious chicken/ cheese if we needed space for whatever reason. She offered my guests and bridal party drinks and food I had set out while we were having hair and makeup done!

She dressed our pup up and brought her to the venue for the photos, walked her, fed her, played with her and took gorgeous pictures for us. We were delayed in getting back due to vendors taking longer than anticipated to pack up, but Trish took it in her stride.
Would highly recommend Trish, she goes above and beyond and our pup was completely at ease with her!

Calm, Paw-fessional and Kind

We couldn't have asked for a better dog chaperone for Amber our show cocker spaniel on our wedding day.

From our initial call with Chris it's so clear she's so kind, gentle, professional and cares deepening about your dogs needs.

Chris handled Amber on the day with such care and ease, making sure she was comfortable and happy - as well as perfectly on schedule for her ring bearer duties. She got Amber prepped, calm and fed - before adding her flower collar and rings for her ring bearing duties. Thanks for making her look amazing!

She was flexible on the day, helping with photos and taking Amber around to our guests and accommodating when we wanted Amber to be with us too. Spotting when she needed water and a quick toilet.

What truly stood out was how personable and warm Chris was with us, our dog and our guests too.

Our guests commented how great she was and they assumed she was a family/friend because of how well she handled Amber and how Amber settled with her through the whole day.

Chris had even messaged beforehand to ask what our bridal party were wearing so she'd fit in - she was dressed impeccably as well as having a stash of her own treats for Amber (which she had checked on our initial call about any dietary needs).

Chris took Amber back to our Airbnb and stayed there into the evening with Amber-pup and a few days later sent us pics of Amber enjoying their time together (Amber of course snoozing!). Chris closed blinds in our Airbnb for us ahead of us returning, left notes and was just fab - so thoughtful and respectful!

With thanks to her help, we were able to fully enjoy her day knowing that our furry family member was in the best hands.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best doggy care!

Chris at Short Legs Dog Care was absolutely fantastic looking after our miniature schnauzer, Cleo, during our wedding. She picked Cleo up and dropped her off at our venue (Manor by the Lake), making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Chris also brought her along for photos, and even though Cleo was nervous, she was well looked after and included in our special moments. Knowing Cleo was in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy our day. We couldn’t have asked for better care—highly recommend!

Chris was very professional but also very caring and adaptable to our needs agreeing to sleep overnight at our house with our two dogs so they could be relaxed in their own home after attending our daughter’s wedding. We had various correspondence as well as a home visit and meet up on a walk prior to the wedding. The dogs instantly liked her which made us feel totally at ease leaving them in her care.
We wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and can fully recommend her to look after your pooches on your special day. They can be as involved as you want them to be knowing they are being looked after so you can relax and enjoy the day with them but also have time with your guests whilst they are being looked after and Chris will take them home as and when required.

Ralph’s new best friend

Easy to book – a few emails and a short phone call meant that Chris had everything she needed ahead of the big day.

No fuss – Chris was on time and quickly took control of looking after Ralph meaning no one else needed to worry about him.

Love of dogs – Chris got on amazingly with Ralph and he was very happy in her company. He snuggled up to her for warmth and seemed calm with her even in the big crowds of people.

Photo opportunities – having Chris there made Ralph bringing the rings down the aisle so easy. She kept him quiet during the ceremony and worked brilliantly with the venue to keep him hidden until the big entrance. Whilst we were having our photos taken she was also always on hand to pass him over when we needed him and keep him busy for the other photos. She also had some great tricks up her sleeve to make sure he was looking in the right direction for the pictures.

After care – I was a little worried about Ralph going to the kennels afterwards but Chris sorted everything. Making sure he was settled before leaving him for the night. We didn’t have any issues and I didn’t need to worry at all.

We would definitely recommend booking Chris if you are considering her for your wedding!

Our dogs Teddie and Winnie adored her from the start, and it was so reassuring to know they were in such loving and capable hands.

Our guests absolutely adored her, and her professionalism shone through in every detail. Booking Chris for our wedding was the best decision we made! We really wanted our poodle Sulley to be a part of our day and he had the best time. Sulley was very well looked after and was completely settled the whole day. The whole experience was amazing and more than what we could’ve asked for, thank you Chris!

The BEST dog chaperone in the Cotswolds!

We cannot express how grateful we are to Chris for looking after Poppy on our big day. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Chris was excellent from start to finish; pre-communication was great, we were fully informed of the process and pricing from the start, and Chris kindly arranged to meet Poppy beforehand to make sure we were comfortable with everything.

On the day itself, Chris generously picked Poppy up from a family home and later took her to the venue, which took the transport hassle away from us (she also dropped Poppy back off after the wedding)! During the ceremony, Chris seamlessly blended in with the guests and made the entire experience totally stress free for us! Everyone loved having Poppy there, which wouldn't have been possible without you Chris, so THANK YOU!

Chris is wonderful and I would highly recommend booking her! We asked Chris to look after our dog at home during our wedding day, and then pop over with them for photos in the afternoon. She was amazing throughout, great communication beforehand and so lovely too. She did an amazing job in making our dog (and us) feel relaxed and comfortable, and we could tell they'd had a lovely day together!
